King of Prussia, PA: Upper Merion’s King of Prussia Mall will be home to the first-ever Netflix House, an interactive entertainment venue set to open on November 12, 2025. The experience will be located in the space formerly occupied by the Lord & Taylor department store.
Both residents and tourists are intrigued by the concept of the new interactive Netflix House, but what exactly is it?
It is going to be an experimental retail/dining space for curious fans. Netflix has been beloved by millions worldwide for its extensive catalog of films and television series. Netflix just wants fans to be able to bring their favorite shows to life, as their website states, “Step inside your favorite shows and movies with interactive story-driven experiences, games, and themed food and drinks.”
The King of Prussia Mall is the perfect place for the experiment with Routes 202, 76, 422, and the Pennsylvania Turnpike providing easy access. More specifically, the Netflix House. In 2024, Netflix boasted 301.63 million global subscriptions. Josh Simon, Vice President of Consumer Products, explained that the concept aims to bring “its stories to life beyond the screen.” The bustling King of Prussia Mall is the perfect location to achieve this. Two Netflix Houses are planned to open in the United States: one in King of Prussia and another in Dallas, Texas. Las Vegas is expected to be the next location, with a Netflix House planned for the Strip sometime in 2027. That project is projected to cover 100,000 square feet.
How does an interactive entertainment center fit into a business that produces and streams shows and movies? The Netflix House will feature games, experiences, and food inspired by their shows and cast members. When the venue opens on November 12, it will showcase The Quest for the Devil Fruit, based on the long-running animated series One Piece, along with a mystery-themed game inspired by the show Wednesday. Interactive elements from both shows will be continuously promoted on two large screens. The Netflix House will be open Monday through Thursday from 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., Friday and Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to midnight, and Sunday from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. One confirmed future interactive experience will be based on Stranger Things, though its release date has not yet been announced. While many details about the entertainment center remain undisclosed, expectations for the Netflix House are high. In the near future, similar locations with these experiences are expected to open nationwide and eventually expand globally. Residents are growing increasingly curious about what to expect as they drive by. It will be exciting to see what unfolds on November 12.
