Ethan Burda, a junior and first year staff writer for The Viking Call, primarily writes for the Sports section and especially enjoys covering all of the Philadelphia sports teams. He’s most proud of his Winter Track article, where interviewing athletes and including their quotes made the story more engaging and fun to create. Since joining the staff, Ethan has loved being part of the newspaper and hopes to keep improving his writing, inspired by what he learned in English class and the encouragement he received from Mr. Schurtz and Mr. DelGiudice. Outside of writing for The Viking Call, he stays busy with MiniThon, DECA, and Model UN, while he spends his free time watching sports, going to games, and meeting athletes, which has helped him build an impressive collection of signed memorabilia displayed throughout his basement. He joined The Viking Call because he’s always loved writing and wanted a place to share his thoughts while trying something new.
